Lake Worth Beach, Florida
Kitchen remodels for older Lake Worth Beach homes · Licensed contractor CBC1269429
Lake Worth Beach kitchens are often compact, in cottages, bungalows and mid-century homes that were built long before dishwashers, microwaves and big refrigerators were standard. We remodel them to fit modern appliances and storage without losing the character that drew you to the house.

Lake Worth Beach has six local historic districts: College Park, Old Lucerne, Old Town Commercial, Northeast Lucerne, Southeast Lucerne and South Palm Park. Historic review focuses on the exterior, so interior kitchen work usually goes through a standard building permit. A new window over the sink or a new exterior door may need review first.
Older kitchens often don't have enough circuits for today's appliances, and many still run on galvanized or cast iron lines. We check the panel and plumbing on the first visit and include any upgrades in the estimate, so they aren't a surprise mid-job.
Uppers that run to the ceiling, a peninsula instead of an island, pull-out pantry storage, light cabinets with one bold accent, and under-cabinet lighting can make a small Lake Worth kitchen feel much larger. See island vs. peninsula.
Florida HB 803 took effect July 1, 2026. It lets single-family owners skip a building permit for some work valued under $7,500, but it does not cover plumbing, electrical, structural, mechanical or gas work, it does not apply in flood hazard areas, and a project cannot be split up to stay under the limit. A real remodel moves drains, valves or wiring, so plan on a permit. We file it and close it out.

Often. Older homes may lack the circuits modern appliances need. We check the panel on the first visit and include any work in your estimate.
Most of our kitchens run $16,500 to $30,000 for a refresh, $27,000 to $47,500 for a mid-range remodel with new cabinets in the same layout, and $75,000 to $150,000+ for a high-end remodel with layout changes.
Most kitchens take about 2.5 weeks of on-site work once cabinets and materials are ready. Design, selections, permits and cabinet lead time come before that, so plan on several weeks from contract to start.
Usually. Florida HB 803, effective July 1, 2026, exempts some single-family work under $7,500, but not plumbing, electrical, structural or gas work. New circuits, a moved sink or a removed wall all need a permit, and we handle it.
